La Bedina Agritourism in Piedmont

Filled by an extraordinary fascin, the province of Turin is rich of art, history, culture, sport and tradition. Its discovery never ends, from the first capital of Italy to the Olympics Alps, from the Canavese hills to the Gran Paradiso peaks. The green of the Canavese, the extended region between the Serra of Ivrea, the Po, the Stura di Lanzo and the Graian, ie the area between Turin and the Valle d’Aosta is home to the La Bedina Agritourism, born from the culmination of a dream for years accompanying the Latorraca family, owner of the agritourism. Driven by the desire to embrace a sustainable way of life and production, animated by a deep love and respect for the land and its creatures, tired of the models that modern society imposes, fifteen years ago the family Latorraca decided to leave the city and move to the countryside.

Opened in 2008, the agritourism is ICEA certified organic agricultural company attached to its properties, specializing in the cultivation of various kinds of vegetables, fruits and berries (such as blueberries, blackberries and raspberries), in open fields and in tunnels. For several years now, La Bedina has initiated a project to restore the surrounding land with the aim of creating a fully organic production, hence rejecting the use of pesticides, chemical fertilizers and other products harmful to health and the environment. Perfectly in line with the business logic is the production of energy by the photovoltaic system, while the hot water for heating is ensured by solar thermal panels.

The restaurant of La Bedina offers cuisine inspired by the traditional Italian peasant tradition, rigorously prepared with homemade products and local specialties from nearby agritourisms, in full respect of seasonality and the zero kilometer philosophy. Among the delicacies that guests can enjoy, there are jams, fruit juices, canned stuffed peppers in oil, the rucola pesto and the tiramisu made with the tasty fruits of the company. One of the flagship products of the agritourism is pizza that Latorraca family brings on the table of their customers, healthy, nutritious and easy to digest, the result of research and experiments.

Its dough, in fact, consists of the blend of soft semi-integral wheat milled by natural stone, ‘0’ kind of hard wheat Senatore Cappelli  and seeds of organic whole grains, absolutely Italian.

For ingredients are selected high-quality raw materials, such as vegetables produced on site, extra virgin cold-pressed Italian olive tome and fontina cheeses of local agritourisms, handcrafted meats and cold cuts.

The idea to act also as agripizzeria was born from the desire to enrich the territory with a new proposal, choosing the path of quality. Even educational farm, La Bedina offers hospitality in three spacious double bedrooms with commodities, offering B&B or half-board treatment. Its location, short distance from the Gran Paradiso Reserve and the an area full of paths, is ideal for trekking, hiking and nature observation.

La Bedina takes care every day of its guests by providing them the best service, proud to welcome them in a place that fully respect its philosophy and delight them with the freshness and the sublime goodness of genuine products that the land generously offers.
