Golositalia – which this year is held from 23rd to 26th February in Montichiari, in the province of Brescia – is a trade fair for both consumers and professionals in the agro-food sector.
Now in its eighth edition, the event – hosted by the Garda Exhibition Centre – is combined with food and equipment, and gathers together 700 exhibitors in 5 pavilions.
Its objective is twofold: to give the public the opportunity to learn more about Italian Excellencies and, if desired, to buy them on site; at the same time, the event represents an important meeting point for the operators of the sector, allowing exhibitors to establish important business contacts.
Golositalia is divided into thematic areas. The Retail area with food, wine, beverages and the restaurant sectors, also includes the business pavilion for equipment and technologies in the food industry, and is flanked by an event area.
In the Retail Area visitors can get to know and then taste and buy the most important Italian food and wine products, with a particular attention to the specialties of the territory. The Business Area, on the other hand, is reserved for the sector operators and the buyers of the agri-food sector, and is enriched by a section dedicated to the innovations and excellencies of the food and beverage industry, but also to the innovations in the technological field for catering and for production.
The companies expected at Golositalia & Aliment are about 700, divided into the sectors traditional food, wine & beverage, professional equipment, ice cream and pastry, international food. There are also the main category associations.
The program this year includes about a hundred events, which include tasting and cooking courses, seminars, live demonstrations and meetings with the operators.
