The Abbey of San Pietro Ispano is very interesting, it’s incorporated in Filonardi palace and built between the X and XI century on the site where lived the hermit arrived from Spain after fighting against the Moors. Inside the abbey are preserved the Angel by Giotto, the only mosaic work of the Florentine artist come down to us, the marble relief of the Madonna by Sansovino and a silver bust attributed to Cellini with the relics of the saint.
In Boville Ernica there are many churches and artworks, but also the landscape is a great way to appreciate the town.
The typical product of this town is the extra virgin olive oil: in Boville Ernica there are nine oil mills and many oil producers. Traditional dishes are roast lamb with potatoes, polenta with vegetables or sausages and beans and timballo alla baucana.
Filonardi palace – Palace built by the architect Vignola, whose style is imprinted in the entrance portal.

Church of John the Baptist – Church open to the public in 1633, but now desecrated. Behind the altar is still observed a fresco by Domenichino (Baptism of Christ).
De Angelis Palace – Owned by the family of the writer and poet Desiderio.
Church of St. Michael the Archangel – Reconstruction of a religious building of the 1125, it preserves the tomb of Cardinal Ennio Filonardi.
Church of St. Francis and Monastery – From the recent restoration of the frescoes have emerged works of Byzantine art.
