Taurasi Radici di Mastroberardino comes from the vineyards of Montemarano and Mirabella Eclano (both in the province of Avellino), which are at the center of Taurasi controlled and granted denomination of origin area.
Treatment: this wine is produced with only Aglianico grapes, that are harvested between the end of October and the first days of November. The must is vinified in red, left macerating for a long time with peels at a controlled temperature. Then the wine ferments in barrique and in oak barrels for about two years before being bottled.
Description: the colour of Taurasi Radici di Mastroberardino is a dark ruby red and at the smell one can feel cherries, violets, nixed fruits and spicy marks. The taste is elegant and embracing, with scent of plums, black cherries and strawberries.
Complement: it matches well with roasted red meats and dishes seasoned with truffles, aged cheeses.
