For nature lovers, for those who want to try a unique experience, for those who want to reconnect with themselves, relax or appreciate the extraordinary landscapes this is an experience not to be missed: we are talking about the waterfall path.
The Falls of Nardis
Legend has it that the Nardis Falls were born from the accumulation of tears plants from Princess Presanella who, unable to realize her dream of love with Vermilion, turned both into stone so as to remain forever next to each other, without ever being able to touch.
Fed by Rio Nardis, a river that rises from the Nardis glacier, this is the symbol of the Val Genova and one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Trentino. Visiting them in winter means seeing a spectacle of nature as you can admire, instead of the waterfall, an imposing ice sculpture.
The excursion to the Nardis Falls is one of the best known in Madonna di Campiglio, inside the Adamello Brenta Nature Park. The route is not particularly difficult and suitable for everyone: in addition to the Nardis Falls, following the whole path you can discover others, all fed by the glaciers of Adamello and Presanella.
To access the Val Genova, where the waterfall path is located, you must leave your car at the parking fee and then move thanks to the shuttle service made available for free (is active only in summer, for any information you must visit the “mobility” section of the official Adamello Brenta Nature Park).
The Falls of the Lares
Continuing on foot from the Nardis Falls, with a route lasting about an hour and a half, you can reach the Lares Falls: if you do not want to walk for so long, also in this case you can take advantage of the shuttle service to reach Ponte Rosso and, from here, walk for just twenty minutes until you reach the falls.
