Along “via Emilia” there are four wine production areas: Hills of Parma and Piacenza, where Barbera and Bonarda are protagonists; Hills between Reggio Emilia and Modena, where Lambrusco is produced; Hills around Bologna and the low part of river Reno valley, land of white wines; And Romagna, with Sangiovese, Alba and Trebbiano.

Main red wines: Montepirolo, Lambrusco, Sangiovese, Pignoletto, Colli di Parma, Barbera, Sauvignon.
Main white wines: Malvasia di Candia, Moscato, Ortrugo, Chardonnay, Pinot bianco, Pinot grigio, Riesling, Müller Thurgau, Pignoletto, Montù, Reno, Pignnoletto, Trebbiano, Pagadebit, Albana, Bosco, Riesling, Sauvignon.
Main rosé: Lambrusco, Malvasia.
Main sparkling: Chardonnay, Pinot Bianco, Pignoletto, Malvasia, Sauvignon, Pinot grigio, Ortrugo, Trebbiano.
