The Strawberry Festival 2025 celebrates a product that has transformed the economy and culture of the territory caserta. From 9 to 11 May 2025, the Villa Comunale di Parete (CE) was transformed into a stage for the Strawberry Festival, an event that celebrates not only one fruit, but the entire identity of a community. Organized by the La Tenda Association, the event offered three days of tastings, shows and meetings, attracting visitors from across the region.
A fruit that tells a story
The strawberry is not only a crop, but a symbol of economic and social rebirth. In the 1970s, thanks to the initiative of local farmers, strawberry production took hold, transforming the agricultural landscape and offering new employment opportunities. The Cooperativa Sole, founded in 1962, has become a point of reference, with more than 100 associated producers and an annual production of over 170,000 quintals of fruit and vegetables.
An event that enhances the territory
The Strawberry Festival is not only an opportunity to taste sweets and strawberry specialties, but also to rediscover local traditions. The program included musical performances, educational workshops and the “Strawberry Run”, a running competition that involved athletes and enthusiasts.
Numbers that speak
Annual strawberry production in Campania: over 1.3 million quintals, with the province of Caserta holding more than 20% of national production.
The Parete strawberry is more than an agricultural product: it is a symbol of identity, resilience and innovation. Local and national events show how a community can enhance its excellence, turning it into a motor of cultural and economic development.
