The Key Energy Fair in Rimini

Some information about the event

If you are looking for something to do in Italy in the autumn and in particular want to know what to do in Rimini this is the article you were looking for. In fact, I would like to present an exhibition that takes place from 7th  to 9th  November in the Romagna city. This is the Key Energy within the Ecomondo festival. Here are some tips on how to get to the event and where it takes place. Also I will suggest  where to stay and how to buy tickets for the event.

The Festival

First of all, the event, at the eleventh edition, is the Salon of Energy and of sustainable mobility and is inside the  Ecomondo Rimini, the big platform of Green Economy and of circular economy. In particular, the fair develops the theme of climate change by presenting industrial solutions and urban applications of energy efficiency, renewable energies, mobility and sustainable cities.

Sectors and pavillions of the fair

The fair is divided into four exhibition halls that are:

  • Key Solar
  • Key Efficency
  • Key Storage
  • Key Wind.

Consider this: the first is a novelty of the 2017 edition and is a photovoltaic exhibition area. The second is the pavilion dedicated to technologies, systems and solutions for intelligent use of energy resources in the industrial field. This site allows the meeting of energy producers, funding providers and industries through numerous conferences and events. The third sector is devoted to the storage of energy from renewable sources. The last one hosts wind energy technology manufacturing operators.

The pavilions dedicated to the event are B5 and D7 of the Rimini exhibition area. These are on one floor and are directly connected to one another. The facility is among the most advanced in terms of functionality and energy saving in Italy. One of the key features of the place where Key Energy is held is its eco-friendly soul that is highlighted by the many green spaces within the area. This is one of the places I recommend you visit if you are wondering what to see in Italy and what to do in Rimini.

Tickets for the event

Let me explain … In order to buy tickets for the event, there are two ways to get different costs. The first is online and prices are 8 € for the day of November 7th  and 12 € for the other days. The second one is to purchase them at the fair entrance. As far as the opening day is concerned, the cost is 15 € while for all the others the single entrance is 25 €. There is also a two-day subscription for 28 €.

How to reach it

The fair is located in the north of the city and is served by the A14 Bologna-Bari-Taranto motorway which is connected to the main Italian motorways. The exits to be used are Rimini Nord and Rimini Sud. During the days in which the events take place, an internal train station is located on the Milano-Bari line. The city airport is Federico Fellini and is 10 km away. This is connected to the neighborhood by line bus number 9.

Where to stay

Here’s another thing: Regarding where to stay, I recommend you book at the Blu Suite Hotel which is just a six-minute drive from the exhibition grounds. The cost for a single room is around 80 € per night. Alternatively I recommend the B & B Fiera e Mare, just a few minutes away from the fair and is also not far from the sea. The average price of the stay is around 45 € per person.

As you can see interesting things are certainly not missing at the Key Energy fair. Now what are you waiting for? Prepare your suitcases now that you know what to see in Italy and what to do in Rimini!
