Greco di Tufo

Greco di Tufo is a white wine that comes from Fontanarosa vineyards, in the province of Avellino. To produce it are used mainly Greco di Tufo grapes, but sometimes it is present also Coda di Volpe for a 15% maximum of the entire composition.

Treatment: this wine can be treated to make it a sparkling one, with the re-fermentation in bottle according to the classic method, but it has to be refined for at least three years in bottle starting from November the first of the grape harvest year.

Description: the colour is straw yellow and at the smell the wine is fruity, in particular one can feel golden apples, flowers and a sage mark. The taste is fresh and full bodied, but in the final marks it is a bit bitter.

Complement: it matches well with fish dishes, fried, shellfishes, mussels and first dishes in general.
