Fuorisalone cannot be regarded as a trade fair, as it has no central organization and is not managed by any institutional body. Born spontaneously in the early eighties by the will of operating companies in the furniture and industrial design industry, it recently has seen an expansion involving many related areas, including automotive, telecommunications, technology, art, fashion and food.
Today, several exhibitors may set up independently or through Studiolabo, a design studio that provides assistance on several fronts: from the location search to the definition of strategies, up to communication plans designed specifically for each company’s needs. The events of the Fuorisalone are held all over Milan, but are concentrated in three main areas – Brera, Tortona and Ventura Lambrate – four strategic zones – San Babila, Sarpi, Porta Venezia and Sant’Ambrogio – and some dedicated projects. To enhance these areas, some important coordinated communication projects were established.
To learn more, please note the official website, a tool that talks about the daily events, in first person. It refocuses priorities on facts and characters that come alive on the background of a city that is full of endless events for weeks, changing realities that revolve around the world of design and creativity. On the site, you will also find an interactive map that will help you recognize the events and to look through special filters based on your area and schedule.
