Other smaller beaches can be found further south, between Bagno 2000 and Bagno Selene and on the Ponente coast, in Zadina and in the area of the colonies.

Its name comes from the tamarisk trees that fill the ground, along with wooden huts used as changing rooms and shower cabins.

Not only piadina: in Cesenatico you can taste a large number of typical dishes, so tasty to eat in one bite!
A must is definitely the fried dumpling, traditional throughout Emilia Romagna, to be accompanied with meats and cheeses; to follow the mortadella mousse, made even better by the presence of ricotta and Parmigiano Reggiano; Finally, the bustrengo is the dessert par excellence that consists of a homemade cake made with 32 ingredients, 20 known and 12 kept from always secret.
What to do in Cesenatico
In Cesenatico it is hard to get bored: a typical day could start with a walk along the Porto Canale Leonardesco, known as the small Venice of Cesenatico, made by Leonardo da Vinci and meeting point for fishing boats, bars and restaurants.
Afterwards, shopping on Viale Carducci is really therapeutic: the area, completely pedestrian, offers exhibitions and markets of art and crafts, as well as a flea market and entertainment with street artists. Next, a trip to Marè is practically a must: it is one of the most beautiful beaches of Cesenatico, since it combines the essence of cuisine, coffee, beach and shop in one well-located location, with a terrace overlooking the sea over the fishermen’s huts.
Finally, The best way to end the day is by sipping a cocktail at the Cafè degli Artisti, a glimpse of America with live music and vintage car and motorcycle rallies.
Entertainment for adults and children
There is plenty of choice on the attractions that Cesenatico offers to adults and children, but two in particular are able to agree (and make happy) both: the Atlantica water park, consisting of 6 pools and more than 1 km of water slides, and the Topolino Park, in Gatteo a Mare, which offers a large park accompanied by rides and inflatables, as well as a go-kart track.
And the fun is not over yet, since Cesenatico hosts a series of unmissable events to which everyone is invited to participate: surely the inevitable notte rosa, which takes place every year in July, as well as the evocative concerts at dawn; to follow, the Vele di Pasqua and the Festa di Garibaldi, the Giro d’Italia and the Nove Colli for bike lovers. During the autumn season, however, you can participate in country festivals to enjoy the best fresh fish of the Adriatic also in street food version.
