This refined estate of the Montanari family, is not the usual and typical agritourism. The project was first launched in 2002 (hence the name Opera02), with just 5 hectares of land planted with vines, among the rolling hills of Levizzano Rangone. Soon the business grew on whole hill (about 45 hectares), through the purchase of a stable of the ’50s, which now appears transformed in a vinegar factory and agritourism. And that is how this vast structure consists of a set of magnificent location from different aspects: the vinegar, then, the cellar and the resort of eight rooms and a modern fitness room designed to pamper clients during their stay.
The 2002, as well as being the year of birth of the company, is the year in which they were planted the first vines of Lambrusco-Grasparossa, one of the oldest local grape varieties in the world. For unfamiliar with the curious “Grasparossa”, its particularity derives from the iridescent shades of red that the leaf assumes during autumn. Subsequently were also added other Trebbiano vines of Modena, whose grapes are necessary for the production of ABTM, of Malbo Gentile, Moscato, and Fiano.

Among the beauties of Opera02 we can not include the cuisine that has its roots in territorial native simplicity and with its extraordinary variety of flavors and contrasts, teases the palate of its guests. The pasta used for first courses, for example, is entirely handmade by the “pastaie” of the area, called “redzore”, and many of the ingredients used are of excellent quality produced by small local companies.
