Wine and Wineyards of Tuscany

Toscana is a region of the central Italy very important, among other things, for wine production. Vine varieties are situated mainly on the hills, where weather and plot are particularly favourable, and less on the level ground.

The most extended and most known areas for wine production are Chianti, Maremma and the province of Siena, but there are also others, though little, on the whole land. Not only the region has always been characterized by the production of good wines, but the continue update and specialization make it one of the Italian protagonists in producing Controlled Denomination of Origin wines.
