Four days of meetings, tastings and insights for one of the most anticipated fairs in the sector
From April 12 to 15, 2026, Verona will host the 58th edition of Vinitaly, one of the most important international events for the world of wine and spirits. Italian Traditions will also follow the event closely, reporting on its protagonists, trends, and emerging realities directly from the fair’s pavilions.
The Veronafiere exhibition center becomes the meeting point between producers, buyers, importers, and industry players. The format is the same as in recent editions: a trade-only event, subject to registration, with days punctuated by targeted meetings, tastings, and moments of discussion between companies and the market. Opening hours are from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm from Sunday 12th to Tuesday 14th April, while on Wednesday 15th April the closure is brought forward to 4:30 pm.
The programme is divided into several thematic areas. Among these are Vinitaly Tourism, dedicated to the connection between wine and the local area, and Enolitech, a space reserved for technologies applied to the wine supply chain. New consumption trends, such as low- or no-alcohol wines, also emerge among the topics and are the focus of meetings and in-depth discussions.
The calendar includes numerous tastings and masterclasses dedicated to the main Italian territories and denominations. Among the events already announced are a focus on major areas of Italian wine, from Franciacorta to Etna wines, up to Vermentino di Gallura DOCG, along with itineraries that compare production styles and regional identities.
In tastings, representative labels and more niche productions alternate in the same calendar: from Barolo DOCG “Bricco delle Viole” by GD Vajra to Chianti Classico DOCG in Fontodi, up to Etna Rosso Riserva in Cottanera and Verdicchio dei Castelli in Jesi Riserva in Villa Bucci. Alongside the best-known names, there are also emerging wineries and lesser-known businesses, a sign of a broad and dynamic production landscape.
Among the key moments, the Vinitaly Awards ceremony marks the official opening of the event, accompanied by meetings and roundtables dedicated to topics such as sustainability, internationalization, and changes in consumption.
Outside the fairgrounds, the program extends to the center of Verona with Vinitaly and the City, scheduled for April 10-12, 2026. Events take place in some of the city’s most representative locations, including Piazza dei Signori, Cortile
Old Market, Courtyard Courtyard, and Lamberti Tower, with tastings, meetings, and events also open to the public.
Vinitaly remains one of the main observers of contemporary wine: not only a showcase for companies and products, but a space where the market, culture, and innovation intertwine, offering an updated reading of the sector’s transformations every year.
