National Day of the Made in Italy 2025

Urso: “Innovation and sustainability to overcome global challenges”

The second edition of the National Day of Made in Italy was officially presented today at Palazzo Piacentini by the Minister of Enterprises and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso. The event, set symbolically for 15 April – anniversary of the birth of Leonardo da Vinci -, aims to celebrate and promote Italian excellence, globally recognized for quality, creativity and innovation.

“This day is an extraordinary opportunity to highlight the value of our companies and the strength of our traditions, but looking ahead with innovation and sustainability,” said Minister Urso at the press conference. ‘ The government is strongly committed to supporting key sectors to address the global challenges of the green and digital transition and the current complex geopolitical scenario”.

Compared to last year, the programme of initiatives has grown significantly: more than 500 events throughout the country (+30%) and more than 50 international events in 30 countries on four continents. Innovation, start-ups and advanced technologies such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence, robotics and aerospace will be the focus of more than 160 initiatives on the agenda, testifying to the new competitive face of Italian companies.

Not only institutional events, but also moments of openness and discussion with the public: more than 150 initiatives will allow citizens and students to discover “know-how Italian” directly in companies and craft workshops. The day wants to show concretely how craftsmanship and entrepreneurial skills are decisive factors for the economic and social well-being of the country.

Roberto Luongo, adviser to the Minister for Internationalization and Valorization of Made in Italy, presented in detail the programme, the result of an extensive collaboration with local authorities, companies, trade associations and institutions such as the Italian Institute of Technology, Cdp, Invitalia and the National Agency for Cybersecurity. Involved also various ministries, ICE, Chambers of Commerce and prestigious realities such as the Foundation Knights of Labor and the League Football Serie A.

Special attention will be paid to the foreign market: during the Osaka Expo, the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy will organize events dedicated to patents and industrial investments.

Leonardo da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man will once again be the symbol of the celebrations, confirming an anthropocentric and humanistic approach that is essential even in the age of artificial intelligence.

A promotional campaign, on traditional and digital media, will accompany the entire initiative, to spread the values and the attractiveness of Made in Italy in the world.
