Are you planning a trip in this period and are looking for something to do in Verona and to visit in Italy? In this article you will find what you are looking for. In fact, we take stock of the Motor Bike Expo, an event which has as its main theme, vehicles, transport and related equipment that takes place at the Verona fair from 19th to 21st January 2018. I also suggest how to get to the fair and how to access the exhibition. I even recommend somewhere to stay during your visit to the city of Verona.
The Event
The fair is internationally recognized as one of the most important and prestigious event concerning personalized motorcycles. The event takes place from 19th to 21st January at the Verona exhibition center. Every year it gathers over 160,000 visitors and has reached its tenth edition, confirming itself as the beating heart of the international motorcycle movement. It is a reference event for the brands of the sector, ranging from special edition motorcycles to sports. The off-road and tourism world is also involved.
This will please you: the event consists of five special areas. They are the following:
- MB Education
- Touring area
- Eco Area
- Used area
- Motul Arena.
The first is a training showcase for high school students. The second is dedicated to the world of tourism but also involves the sectors of custom and off-road. The third is the space dedicated to vehicles powered by alternative energy and with a low environmental impact. The fourth is a used motorcycle sales space. The last part is the outdoor part of the event where the performances of riders and stuntmen take place. Also in Palazzo della Gran Guard there is the Vernice & Benzina expo which is part of the offside event.
Here’s another thing: admission to the fair costs € 18 for the whole ticket and € 15 for the reduced reserved for children under 10 and members of the FMI and HOG clubs. For children under the age of 6, it is free. For the access ticket, you can use the Ticketone website by purchasing the pre-sale ticket for € 19.50. Alternatively, you can buy the ticket directly at the entrance on the days when the event takes place.
The exposition center
The Motor Bike Expo is the VeronaFiere exhibition center. This is very interesting for those of you who are looking for interesting events to visit in Italy and want to know what to do in Verona. The indoor exhibition area is 152,000 square meters and has a total size of 309,000 square meters divided into 13 pavilions. Its strategic position, just a few minutes from the city center, allows you to easily reach it.
How to get there and where to stay
Let me explain: getting to Verona is very simple, in fact it is easily reachable in three ways. These are:
- car
- train
- plane.
By car you can arrive via the A22 and A4 motorways. The city station is that of Verona Porta Nuova which is just a few minutes from the exhibition center. From here, buses and taxis are available to reach the destination. By plane it is possible to land at Catullo airport which is about 10 km from the exhibition center. During the days of the events, shuttle buses are available to reach the fair easily.
But that’s not all: for the overnight stay I recommend the Hotel Marco Polo which is located in the city center. The cost of a room is around € 85 per night. Alternatively, I suggest staying at the B & B Verona Maison located near the Verona Porta Nuova train station. The price of a room is around 65 €.
As you have seen, this is an event which is an absolute must to visit in Italy. What are you waiting for? Prepare your trip to the Motor Bike Expo now that you also know what to do in Verona.
