Italy that enchants the world – on April 15 is celebrated the national day of Made in Italy

Today, Italy pays tribute to what makes it unique in the eyes of the world: creative genius, excellence in production, beauty that becomes an enterprise. It is the National Day of Made in Italy, established to enhance the beating heart of our country’s economic and cultural identity. A celebration that no coincidence falls on the day of the birth of Leonardo Da Vinci, eternal symbol of Italian ingenuity, able to combine art, science, vision and manual skills.

A symbolic choice, but powerfully evocative: Leonardo, pioneer of multidisciplinary thinking, embodies the essence of contemporary Made in Italy, which merges creativity and technique, past and future. Today more than ever, this day takes on a profound meaning: to recognize the value of a heritage that is not only economic, but above all cultural.

There are more than 600 events scheduled in Italy and more than 30 countries around the world: from craft shop windows to avant-garde design, from fashion to agri-food, through high technology and space research. A mosaic of excellences that tell a laborious, passionate, visionary Italy.

The Government strongly wanted this day, not as a simple celebration, but as a concrete platform to support Italian companies, encourage new generations of talent and promote our excellent productions in the world.

“This day is born to recognize and celebrate the talent, vision and tenacity of millions of Italian companies and workers. Every day, with pride, they bring extraordinary products to the world, a symbol of quality and excellence in Italian know-how, the result of unique stories, creativity, passion and dedication”, said the Minister of Enterprises and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso, who spoke to the Chamber of Deputies for the presentation of the report “The value of the Italian style between culture, good living and nutrition”.

A message also shared by the Minister of Education and Merit, Giuseppe Valditara, who stressed the importance of investing in skills and technical training to meet the challenges of global markets:

“On the occasion of the Day of Made in Italy we celebrate an identity heritage of extraordinary importance for our society and for our economy: the excellence of Italian production, admired and sought after all over the world. Supporting Made in Italy also means developing technical skills and strategic expertise to face the challenges of new markets.”

As a confirmation of the international dimension of the initiative, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has organized events in several countries, including Ireland, Brazil, Japan and the United States, to demonstrate how Made in Italy is now a global language, recognizable everywhere as a synonym for beauty, quality and innovation.

April 15 is not just a date on the calendar. It is the collective story of a country that has never stopped creating, innovating, exciting. It is the celebration of those who every day, in laboratories, shops, industrial districts or research centres, keep alive the flame of Italian genius.

Because Made in Italy is not a fashion. It’s a way of being. And thinking about the future.
