And after Apimell a visit to the city of Piacenza
The Piacenza Market Show is a wonderful opportunity to visit the city and its most interesting attractions.
If you are wondering what to see in Italy, take some time to discover the most beautiful places in the Lombard city and the traditions to which it is linked.
Believe me: Autumn is the ideal time to visit Piacenza with its most beautiful buildings and monuments and its ancient history.
If you don’t have much time to stop in this wonderful city, I can suggest what to do in Piacenza and what sights are worth seeing.
First of all there is Palazzo Farnese, once home to the illustrious family of the same name and currently home to various museums:
•Archaeological Museum
• Carriage Museum
• Museum of the Risorgimento
• Art Gallery.
But also the Duomo of Piacenza deserves a few hours of your time. Think, the structure was built in the XI century in Roman style and features an exquisitely beautiful exterior facade, covered in veronese and sandstone marble.
And tha’ts not all … once you’ve crossed the threshold of this imposing Church, you can admire the many frescoes of illustrious painters like Procaccini and Caracci.
Are you excited at the idea of spending some hours in this magnificent city? Then I can reveal another “secret” about Piacenza …. it is the perfect place for food and wine lovers…
Then prepare to enjoy the excellent Piacenza cuisine accompanied by excellent doc wines produced in the surrounding areas.
