Friùli Venezia Giulia is a small region in the very north-east of Italy. Despite its dimensions, it has an essential role in wine production, thanks to the work of all the wine makers, either they have small or wide plots. Wine quality in this region comes from the union between an ancient tradition, and the modern production technologies. The physical structure of the region is worth mentioning: level ground, lagoon, hills and mountains. It is also thanks to this land heterogeneity that the wines here produced have very different features from one another, though they are all of good quality.
