Salone del Mobile – the future of design is revealed in Milan

April 2025 promises to be a month of great ferment for Italy, thanks to an event of international importance that highlight Italian excellence in the fields of design.

From 8 to 13 April 2025, Milan will host the 63rd edition of the Salone del Mobile, a reference event for professionals and lovers of furniture and design. The event will be held at Fiera Milano Rho, with opening hours from 9:30 to 18:30. The event is open to industry professionals, but will be open to the public on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 April, while students will have access on 11, 12 and 13 April.

This year, the Salone del Mobile will present several specialised sections:

S.Project: a multisectoral exhibition that will offer a wide range of proposals, from interior design to outdoor, from lighting to acoustic solutions, to wellness and textiles.

EuroCucina/ FTK (Technology for the Kitchen): dedicated to kitchen furniture and built-in appliances, with a look at the latest technological innovations.

Salone Internazionale del Bagno: focused on the evolution of the bathroom from a service space to an environment dedicated to relaxation and well-being, under the banner of design and technology.

SaloneSatellite: now in its 24th edition, it is an opportunity for schools, universities and designers under 35 to exhibit their innovative ideas, facilitating the meeting between young talents and companies in the sector.

The communication campaign of the Salone 2025, entitled “Thought for Humans”, was entrusted to the New York photographer Bill Durgin and underlines the deep link between design and humanity. Among the cultural events, “Mother” stands out, a tribute by the artist Robert Wilson to Michelangelo’s Pietà Rondanini, exhibited at the Castello Sforzesco.
