A week that combines expected returns, new formats and an ever-increasing dialogue
close with the city
From April 21st to 26th, the Salone del Mobile. Milan reports companies and
design professionals from around the world, in a week that represents for the industry
much more than a fair. It is the place where visions, market and new languages meet
of living. These days, Italian Traditions will also be closely following the city and its
appointments, telling what will happen inside and outside the pavilions.
The 2026 edition presents numbers that confirm the international weight of the
event: over 1,900 exhibitors spread over more than 169,000 square meters. Next to
at the International Furniture Fair and the Furniture Complement Fair, the
EuroCucina / FTK biennials – Technology For the Kitchen and the International Exhibition of
Bagno, together with SaloneSatellite, dedicated to talent under 35 and this year focused on the
theme “Craftsmanship + Innovation”.
Among the new features, the path that will lead to the debut of Salone Contract in 2027 takes shape,
while 2026 also introduces Salone Raritas, an exhibition project dedicated to collectible
design, to the one-of-a-kind pieces and limited editions, curated by Annalisa Rosso with exhibition design by
Ghost-form.
The Salon will be open from 9:30 to 18:30, with press access from 8:30. The operators
professionals will be able to access the event for the entire duration, while students,
suppliers and manufacturers will be admitted from April 24th to 26th. The public will be able to visit it in the end
week.

The 2026 Salon is not limited to Rho. The evening will symbolically open the week
inaugural at the Teatro alla Scala. The city will then come alive with initiatives that strengthen dialogue
between fair and urban space: from 17 to 26 April Design Kiosk returns to Piazza della Scala, while
Common Archive – The White Night of the Project is scheduled for April 24th, with visits,
meetings and openings involving archives and places of Milanese culture.
In parallel,from April 20th to 26th, Milan Design Week will spread throughout the neighborhoods and districts
citizens through the Fuorisalone calendar, which this year too announces over
hundreds of events including installations, exhibitions, special openings and temporary projects. The result
will once again be that of a city entirely traversed by design, where the comparison
between brands, creatives and the public is played as much in the pavilions as in urban spaces.
It is in this ability to hold together product, business and city that the Salon of the
Mobile. Milan continues to stand out. More than just a showcase of the sector, the edition
2026 confirms itself as one of the central events for observing up close
the evolution of contemporary design. And, once again, Milan will be the place where
this future will take shape.
