Milano Design Week

The Milano Design Week returns from 15 to 21 April, in Milan. One of the most interesting events of the year for designers, architects, schools, universities and institutions will peacefully invade the city with the aim of proposing and sharing new ideas, giving shape to the present looking to the future.

It is no coincidence that the theme of the 2024 edition will be “Materia Natura”, with a particular focus on the circular economy, reuse and sustainability of materials.

In fact, only by starting from solid design practices is it possible to develop a culture of conscious design and, above all, capable of enhancing the concept of sustainability” as a fundamental principle of both the creative process and design.

If the Salone del Mobile.Milano, now in its 62nd edition will present 1900 exhibitors at the Rho exhibition center, the Fuorisalone will be a widespread event in most of the districts of Milan.

The theme of the Fuorisalone 2024: Materia Natura

Nature will be at the heart of the 2024 edition of Milan Design Week; with “Materia Natura” participants can make a real journey through the connection between these two words, also and above all thanks to a visual campaign conceived by EX. and Giorgio Ferrero and curated by Nicola Ricciardi.

Human beings have always wondered about matter and how to transform it, experience it and manipulate it in order to come into contact with nature. And it is precisely the man to be the leitmotif between the two, combining harmoniously.

Among other things, the concept of “nature” is strongly current, if we take into account the issues – now urgent – related to climate change and the depletion of resources that afflict our country and that, for several years now, push more and more towards sustainable and environmentally friendly choices. At the same time, the term “matter” opens a door to design, then to creative thinking and design that allow us to imagine infinite and possible transformations.

This is how Materia Natura becomes the key to understanding all the initiatives that will be proposed during Design Week 2024, characterized by new languages and visions compared to the past.

The winning combination between Salone del Mobile. Milan and Fuorisalone

Obviously the collaboration with Salone del Mobile.Milano continues, with the main objective of giving greater value to the exhibitors present both inside the fair and scattered throughout the city; their pavilions can be visited following dedicated paths and indicated in the event guide and on the interactive map of Fuorisalone.it. In this way, the public will be able to orient themselves very easily and, if they wish, can make a preliminary selection of places to visit.

With over 20 years of experience, Fuorisalone.it is able to involve and tell in a completely digital way the events that take place in the city on the occasion of the Salone del Mobile, providing participants with all those useful tools to lose the smallest detail.

Over the years, then, the interactive digital experience has evolved so much that, to date, the platform offers: a complete map, including the guide to events; the magazine with in-depth articles, paths and mini-guides; a live section with photos taken by 100 e.Reporter and a reserved area to which each user can access to save and share their content with other users.

Not only that, because throughout the year Fuorisalone.it provides the Milano Design Agenda, a calendar constantly updated with all design events organized in the city that allows you to view the events scheduled and ongoing, share them on their social networks, save them in their private area and discover the appointments nearby.
