Made in Italy 2030

“It is important that the Italian System contributes to the elaboration of the new industrial policy we intend to implement in Italy and in Europe where we are increasingly protagonists, as shown by the feedback obtained from our ‘non-paper’ on cars in the Community institutions”.

This was stated by the Minister of Enterprises and Made in Italy, Sen. Adolfo Urso, opening the two meetings with the Regions and with the Confederate Unions, which took place at Mimit. The public consultation phase of the “Made in Italy 2030” Green Paper, a document prepared by the Mimit Studies Centre and presented at CNEL on 16 October, continues also these days.

Comparisons following the hearing of the Minister in the Committee on Production Activities of the Chamber and Industry of the Senate and the talks held with trade associations and chambers. “With this document we intend to put into system the actions of industrial policy that we are already carrying out in order to consolidate the role of Italy in manufacturing and export, strengthening its position among the top ten economies in the world”, said Urso.

“We must manage the two transitions, green and digital, combining them with the geopolitical transition in place, in order to strengthen our industrial, energy and technological sovereignty and at the same time protect economic security and European strategic autonomy”, he concluded. The public consultation in progress will then lead to the drafting of a White Paper on the new industrial policy strategy in early 2025, which Italy aims to implement in coordination with EU policies.
