Between debuts, returns and tributes to memory, a season awaits us that promises to be epochal.
Here’s what you absolutely can’t miss.

Milan Fashion Week SS 2026: 10 unmissable stages

From 23 to 29 September 2025, Milan confirms itself as the world capital of the fashion system, welcoming the new season of Spring-Summer 2026 fashion shows.
An intense edition, marked by historical changes and creative directions waiting to be discovered. In fact, it is not only the new faces at the helm of the most prestigious fashion houses that are making the news, but also the heaviest absence ever: for the first time, the Milanese catwalks will open without the charisma of Giorgio Armani, who passed away last September 4th. A symbolic void for the entire fashion world, but also a powerful legacy that will live on through the Emporio Armani and Giorgio Armani fashion shows, still on the calendar.

Debuts, returns and new visions

The 2025 edition is destined to mark a real change of skin for many brands: new creative directors are redefining the aesthetic language of iconic brands.
The long-awaited new era of Gucci begins under the guidance of Demna, who brings with him his radical and deconstructive approach, already a symbol of contemporary fashion. It will be interesting to see how Gucci’s historical identity blends with the creative irreverence of the Georgian designer.
Renewal also for Versace, which entrusts its next vision to Dario Vitale, an emerging talent with refined taste and a contemporary look, ready to reinterpret the baroque and sensual legacy of the maison with a bolder and more conceptual touch.
Great anticipation also for Bottega Veneta, which will see the debut of creative director Louise Trotter, ready to explore new stylistic codes with her minimalist and material elegance.
Finally, the return of Jil Sander with the signature of Simone Bellotti, which aims to bring essentiality, rigor and poetics back to urban fashion.

The big names on the catwalk

There will be no shortage of institutional presences of Italian and international fashion. All the big names are on the calendar:
Prada, Dolce & Gabbana, Max Mara, Fendi, Moschino, Roberto Cavalli, Tod’s, Diesel, Ferragamo, Alberta Ferretti, Ferrari and many others.
A total of 171 events including fashion shows, presentations and installations that will make Milan, once again, the most followed creative platform in the world.
Also worth mentioning are the welcome returns: Boss, Calcaterra (which celebrates its tenth anniversary) and Stella Jean, while the renewed routes of Blumarine with David Koma and Alberta Ferretti continue under the direction of Lorenzo Serafini.

Fashion to wear, but also to tell

Milan Fashion Week is not just fashion shows. Alternative narratives are also increasingly the protagonists: installations, exhibitions, collaborations with international muses and multimedia projects that redefine the way of telling the dress.
The fashion experience today is lived on multiple levels: physical, digital and emotional. And from here Italian Tradition will tell the most significant moments of the event, with a careful eye on the cultural, artisanal and entrepreneurial value of Made in Italy.

Demna’s debut at Gucci is the most anticipated event: his talent for altering codes and identities presents him with an ambitious challenge. How to redesign Gucci without losing its soul? Dario Vitale from Versace will be a surprise not to be underestimated: young, brilliant, capable of mixing glamor and narrative tension. Louise Trotter from Bottega Veneta stands for cleanliness and long-term vision. The maison seems ready for a new lexicon Finally Simone Bellotti from Jil Sander: his return to the essential is a powerful message in an era saturated with excess. The overall impression? It’s time for a new geography of taste. And Milan, once again, is its epicenter.”
