The 65th edition of the International Boat Show will be held at the Genoa Fair from 18 to 23 September 2025. The event will see exhibitors from over 45 countries participate, for a setup that includes more than 1,000 brands divided into 5 thematic areas: Yachts & Supertachts, Sailing World, Boating Discovery, TechTrade and Living the Sea; 23 new construction sites, 123 new features and 96 premieres. An event of great interest that has been renewed in the Ligurian capital since 1961. The trade fair week will include themed conferences every day and the Design Innovation Award, an award established by Confindustria Nautica and the Boat Shows in 2020 to support excellence in the sector, sponsoring the cutting edge of exhibitors participating in the event. In this sense, much importance is given to research and innovation. During the presentation press conference, the mayor of Genoa had the opportunity to state: <<Genoa is the Boat Show. The Boat Show is Genoa.
From 1961 to today, Genoa and Salone have been an indissoluble combination, in the name of the sea, Made in Italy, the great artisanal and industrial tradition of boating. The Show is not simply a large international event that takes place in Genoa – continued Silvia Salis – but is an integral part of the city’s identity and a pillar of its economy.>>. The mayor highlighted how the Boat Show is the national trade fair event with the greatest economic impact after the Salone del Mobile. The Italian Excellence Fair will be accompanied by cultural initiatives, including the extraordinary opening of the Palazzi dei Rolli, whose inauguration will be attended by the <<…many mayors of the major cities.>>, added Salis. But that’s not all: as anticipated by Confindustria Nautica on the Milan Stock Exchange, the multi-year collaboration agreement between Confindustria Nautica and the 38th America’s Cup Event will be signed at the Show on Saturday 20 September for the support of the Italian nautical industry in the organization of the event of Naples 2027.
All comforting signs for the nautical industry, still expected to grow in the coming years, especially for the superyacht luxury segment.
