In fact here I will present one of the most important comics fairs in Naples and of all the national territory. This is the Comicon, the international comic and gaming fair. This is certainly one of the most famous comics fairs in Italy and is attended every year by an increasing number of fans.

When and where is it held
Comicon was born in 1998 and reaches its 20th edition this year. The event takes place within the spaces of the Oltremare exhibition in Naples from April 28th to May 1st . It consists of an exhibition dedicated to the theme of comics and games in which enthusiasts and professionals meet. Here, in a dedicated area, there are stands of specialized publishing houses where it is possible to buy published products. Moreover, during the four days of the fair, numerous conferences and dedicated events take place. There is obviously no shortage of international guests and exclusive previews.
Consider that the event takes place inside the pavilions 1 to 6 of the Oltremare in Naples exhibition center. This applies to the main events, while cultural events are held in institutional locations distributed throughout the city. The opening hours of the fair are from 10 am to 7 pm, open all day for all 4 days. The ticket office instead observes the following times: from 9a.m to 6p.m.
Comics Fairs in Naples: events and exhibitions
The event is divided into four main sections which are:
- Comicon
- Gamecon
- Cartoona
- Asian.
The first is the main section of this which is one of the most important comics book fairs in Naples. Here the most important events and meetings are presented. The meetings with the guests of the event are therefore held here. Among the others, in particular, given the international caliber, Zerocalcare, Milo Manara, Roberto Recchioni and Paolo Castaldi. Within this there is also a section dedicated exclusively to children and called Comicon Kids. Inside there are events and meetings dedicated to younger visitors.
The second is the section of the international comics book and game fair dedicated to this last activity. Here you will find events dedicated to games and video games of all kinds, unmissable meetings in which the guests will be important personalities of the sector.
As far as the third is concerned, this is a space dedicated exclusively to the world of cartoons. The most interesting thing is the preview and exclusive national screening of some TV and cartoon series coming soon to cinema screens.
Here’s another thing: the part of the event called Asian is dedicated to the Asian world and oriental culture with guests and themed events. Worth noting is the Cosplay contest and the Asian village where you can see artists who practice the art of body painting live at work. This is located in Hall 6 of the fair.
Finally, another part is dedicated to the exhibitions to which visitors have access during the days of the Comicon in Naples. Particularly worth mentioning is the one dedicated to the twenty years of the event and to the last twenty years of the history of comics in Italy.
