The ski area of Folgaria and Lavarone, on the Plateaus of Trentino, is part of the Skirama Dolomiti Adamello Brenta ski area that includes eight ski resorts of Trentino inserted into the magnificent and unique view of the Brenta Dolomites. The two ski centerss of Folgaria and Lavarone are the heart of the area of south-eastern Trentino that form the Skitour dei Forti, a network of trails that winds through the forts of the First World War, creating a fascinating journey in history. One of the most famous ski area in Trentino thanks to the quality of the plants and the environment, but also to the beauty of the landscape, ranging from the Brenta Dolomites to the Pasubio and Adamello. Perfect and all levels slopes, with a system of artificial snow to the delight of all skiers, from beginners to experts.
Always devoted to skiing, the Alpe Cimbra was the first to host the legendary Tre Tre, to establish the first chairlift in Italy and to give birth to great skiing champions. Today it houses the Trofeo Topolino, the most important international alpine skiing competition reserved for the youth sector.
The tracks not to be missed include the Salizzona, the Agonistica and Avez of Prinzep, which takes the name of the highest abbot in Europe. Every year in the district are held important competitions in Alpine skiing and Nordic skiing, such as the Trofeo del Barba and Malga Zonta Marathon.
There are three centers for the fund: Forte Cherle, Passo Coe and Millegrobbe, inserted into the Super Nordic Skipass circuit. For the snowboard there is the Mazinga Park in Folgaria, the Snowpark Rivetta in Lavarone and Jurassik Snowpark on the Alpe Fiorentini. Of course, there are facilities designed for children, such as school camps, ski kindergartens, playgrounds and fun toboggan runs.
