Torre Pozzelle
Near Ostuni you can find the locality known as Torre Pozzelle. It is a point where the coast is still quite pristine. Its main feature is the presence of five coves, where there are as many sandy beaches.
The water here is particularly clear, and the landscape is characterized by an almost atypical element, the remains of an Aragonese tower still in good condition.
It can be easily reached from Ostuni by car.
Bay of Turks
The Bay of the Turks bears this name by virtue of its historical importance. It seems in fact that it is here that landed the Turkish soldiers who laid siege to the city of Otranto at the end of ‘400.
The Bay of the Turks is part of the protected oasis of the Alimini lakes. The aim of the institutions is to preserve this area as pristine as possible. The beach is covered with fine sand and the color is typically light.
Lama Monachile
We now move on to a beach that in summer is usually quite crowded, but that for its uniqueness deserves equally to be mentioned in this event. We are talking about the beach of Lama Monachile, located a few meters from the center of Polignano a Mare, one of the most popular destinations for tourists who want to spend their holidays in Puglia.
It is not a sandy beach, but consists of small stones and pebbles. The sea becomes deep after a few meters, making it perfect for extreme diving competitions that here finds its ideal environment.

Portogreco
The Gargano is one of the most beautiful areas of Puglia, where the green of the wooded area meets with pristine beaches. A good example is Portogreco, near Vieste. Torre dell’Orso
