Concerts in Milan: Organ Music in the Duomo

Starting from the 7th of December and for all the Saturdays of the month, at the Duomo di Milano will be the event Organist Sounds with a special tribute to Bach.

This is an initiative of the Veneranda Fabbrica dedicated to the faithful and visitors of the Cathedral who will live a unique musical experience with moments of listening to organ music of about 30 minutes that will take place before the Eucharistic celebration. Among other things, it will be possible to watch live streaming on Duomo Milano TV.

The Christmas concert at the Duomo in Milan

In addition to the “Organistic Sounds” initiative, on Thursday 19 December inside the Duomo of Milan it will be possible to attend the traditional Christmas concert.

The Ensemble will be performing instrumental and vocal laBarocca of Milan, ensemble of the Symphony Orchestra of Milan specialized in music of the seventeenth and eighteenth century while, to direct the concert, will be Maestro Ruben Jais and the Maestro del coro Jacopo Facchini.

Christmas concerts in Venice: the concert of San Marco

Venice is a unique and characteristic city that, at Christmas, becomes even more special.

If you want to make your Christmas unforgettable this year then do not miss the Christmas Concert of the Phoenix in the Basilica of San Marco.

The appointment is divided into two dates: December 17, 20 hours, where it will be possible to participate only by invitation of the Procuratoria di San Marco and 18 December.

Other Christmas concerts in Venice

Venice, for this Christmas, presents a calendar full of musical events.

On 21 December at the Teatro Corso you can attend the concert A Christmas Carol while, on the same day at the Teatro Toniolo, will perform the singing group Eric Waddell & The Abundant Life Singers, a gospel band originally from Baltimore.

At the Teatro Goldoni, on 21 and 22 December, there will be the musical event A Million Dreams, represented by the Big Vocal Orchestra formed by more than 200 members. On 13, 17, 20 and 27 December, at the Cathedral of the Image, it will be possible to participate in the Christmas Concert of the Three Tenors with opera arias, songs of the Neapolitan tradition and Christmas carols.

The most famous of the musical events is undoubtedly the Christmas Concert at the Teatro Verdi, which will take place on December 24th at 5 pm.

Immediately after Christmas, on December 29th, it will be possible to attend the performance of the musical A Christmas Carol at the Teatro Cartiere Carrara.

Christmas in music in Florence: the Christmas Concert at the Teatro Verdi and other events 

The city of Florence also offers a rich calendar of activities and concerts for the Christmas period: from classical music to gospel choirs to performances of great classics, everyone will have the opportunity to satisfy their desire to celebrate Christmas in music.

Christmas concert in Rome: the Diocese of Rome’s choir

On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Foundation Choir of the Diocese of Rome, on December 15 at 8.30 pm will be held the Christmas Concert in the Papal Basilica of San Giovanni in Laterano.

For the event will be reproduced a repertoire with the most beloved pieces of the Italian and international Christmas tradition, orchestrated and directed by Maestro Marco Frisina, performed by the Choir of the Diocese of Rome accompanied by the Nova Opera Orchestra, for a total of about 250 elements.

In addition, on 19 December at the Church of San Paolo Dentro le Mura, it will be possible to participate in a Christmas Concert with the songs of the Christmas tradition and the melodies of W.A.Mozart, F. Mendelssohn and G. F. Haendel performed by the soprano Giulia Presti and the tenor Emil Alekperov.

Christmas Concerts in Naples

The Christmas Concert performed by Giulia Presti and Emil Alekperov will also be held in Naples, on 21 December, at the Basilica of San Domenico Maggiore.
