Taste, history, and territory – November in Italy, among excellent nougat and pork knuckles

November in Italy confirms itself as a month full of events where gastronomic tradition meets
culture, crafts and territorial identity. From north to south, two manifestations stand out for
originality and appeal: the Cremona Torrone Festival (November 8-16, 2025) and the November Porc
in the Lower Parma area (four weekends: 7-9, 14-16, 21-23, 28-30 November) which celebrate two
Italian excellences, each with its own “mood”: sweetness and craftsmanship in the first case,
rustic conviviality and norcineria in the second.

Cremona – nougat, violin making, and a tradition that conquers

From Saturday 8th to Sunday 16th November 2025, Cremona will celebrate its historic centre with the
Torrone Festival: a historical reenactment of the wedding between Bianca Maria Visconti and Francesco
Sforza, costume parades, large nougat sculptures, tastings and workshops transform the city
on a stage of sweetness. Legend has it that on the very occasion of that wedding of the
A symbolic nougat was served in 1441: the iconic nougat tower which recalls the bell tower of the
Torrazzo of Cremona. In addition to the gastronomic festival, the event becomes an opportunity to discover the
treasures of Cremona: a city with a strong connection to violin making and music, an ideal setting for
an experience that combines taste, history and craftsmanship.

Bassa Parmense: November Porc, the pig’s “relay”

In parallel, from 7 to 30 November 2025, with stages in the municipalities of Sissa Trecasali (7-9),
Polesine Parmense (14-16), Zibello (21-23) and Roccabianca (28-30), the November event

Cultural and territorial impact

These manifestations confirm how the food and wine-territory binomial remains an engine of
tourist attraction, loyalty and valorization of local products. The cities and villages that
invest in events related to food tradition not only strengthen their identity, but
they also contribute to related industries: hotels, restaurants, crafts and transport benefit in terms of
economic and reputational.
November 2025 in Italy becomes a calendar painted with flavors: from Cremona nougat to
Norcineria della Bassa Parmense, two different stories that tell the same value —
Italian excellence that starts from the local area and reaches the hearts of visitors. For those who love taste and the

culture, the reason “eating well” is not enough: integrated experience is needed, and these manifestations
they offer it to the full.
