At a time when the global economy requires vision, resilience and innovation, Italy responds with an exhibition celebrating one of its most strategic assets: the national trade fair system. The exhibition ‘Esporre Innovazione: le fiere hub del Made in Italy’, promoted by AEFI (Association of Italian Exhibitions and Fairs) in collaboration with 16 of the country’s main exhibition centres, opened at Palazzo Piacentini, headquarters of MIMIT, on the occasion of the 10th World Trade Fair Day.
The initiative, which can be visited until 30 July, is much more than an exhibition: it represents an immersive journey into the beating heart of the Italian economy, highlighting the role of trade fairs as evolutionary platforms, capable of combining technological innovation, entrepreneurial culture and international vision.
‘Thanks to the strength of our trade fair system,’ said Adolfo Urso, Minister of Enterprise and Made in Italy, ‘Italian companies find space and visibility on global markets. In an unstable international context, it is essential to strengthen these strategic infrastructures, favouring the connection between production and promotion. The government is committed to this direction, supporting national events and accompanying companies to major international events.’
The exhibition is divided into three thematic sessions that will alternate over the weeks, highlighting trade fairs as engines of development and accelerators of progress, but also as places of positive contamination between production sectors, scientific research and new trajectories of sustainable growth.
Through multimedia installations, video contributions and symbolic products of Italian excellence, the best of the 22 most significant trade fair events of the two-year period 2024-2025 will be retraced. A concrete narration of the richness of the Italian production fabric, ranging from cosmetics to agro-industry, from fashion to tourism, from health to the environment, without neglecting craftsmanship, publishing and space innovation.
The leading events include: Cosmoprof, Cibus, Book Fair, Bologna Children’s Book Fair, Vicenzaoro, Sigep, Eima, TTG Travel Experience, Fieragricola, Expo Riva Schuh, White, Marmomac, Cremona Musica, Didacta, Marca by BolognaFiere, Hospitality, Beauty to Business, Mida, Futura, NSE New Space Economy, Welfair – La fiera del fare Sanità and Hey Sun.
With this exhibition, the Italian trade fair system confirms itself as a pillar of Made in Italy and a strategic tool for its international projection, capable of enhancing the creativity of companies, spreading business culture and promoting competitiveness on global markets.
