Historic brands – agreement between CNEL and Association to enhance the Made in Italy

Over 800 Historic Brands recognized by the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (Mimit). To strengthen their protection and dissemination, the National Council of Economy and Labor (CNEL) and the Association of Historic Brands of Italy have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at enhancing the economic and cultural importance of these excellences.

The agreement aims to promote studies, publications and awareness campaigns on the crucial role of Historic Marks in the national productive fabric. Also planned are public events and training courses for students, entrepreneurs and managers, in collaboration with schools and universities. Particular focus will be given to intellectual property rights management, innovation and marketing strategies for legacy companies.

Valorizing the Historical Marks – it has emphasized Renato Brunetta, president of the Cnel – means to strengthen the Made in Italy, an asset of extraordinary relevance. In an era of profound global changes, it is essential to protect and consolidate this heritage».

On the same line Massimo Caputi, president of the Associazione Marchi Storici d’Italia: «The protocol represents a significant step in the protection of our historical brands, authentic custodians of the economic, cultural and social identity of the country».

The initiative is part of a larger national project aimed at supporting the competitiveness and recognition of Made in Italy on international markets, Ensuring that historic enterprises have the tools to meet the challenges of innovation without losing their link with tradition.
