Italy on Madison – From May 13, New York is preparing to host an exclusive celebration of Made in Italy with the third edition of Italy on Madison, the event organized by ICE (Agency for the promotion abroad and internationalization of Italian companies). For three days, Madison Avenue, the street symbol of luxury, will become a showcase of excellence, hosting over 90 brands that represent the best of Italian style. A unique sensory experience, ranging from design to food, from wine to wellness, immersing visitors in the authentic Italian lifestyle.
The historic ICE townhouse, located on the Upper East Side at the corner of 67/a street and Madison Avenue, will be transformed into an « Italian home », with 40 furniture brands that will liven up the rooms, each furnished to evoke a different aspect of Italian domestic life. From the living room to the kitchen, from the bedroom to the entrance, each room will be a tribute to craftsmanship and Italian design, all with a floral theme that connects every space in a sensory harmony.
Erica Di Giovancarlo, director of ICE in the United States, underlines how New York is a global stage where Italian creativity continues to shine: « With Italy on Madison, we don’t just show products, but we invite the public to experience firsthand the spirit of Made in Italy through a sensory experience that involves all the senses ».
The event is curated by Gilda Bojardi, director of the magazine Interni, and the designer and architect Paola Navone, who have chosen to transmit the essence of an elegant and sophisticated Italy. During the three days of the event, various activities are planned that will involve the participants in traditional Italian activities, such as a typical Italian breakfast, the preparation of a risotto and an interactive experience called « What Drink You Are », where guests can discover their ideal Italian cocktail.
The Italy on Madison initiative represents a powerful showcase for the Italian luxury industry and an opportunity for internationalisation for companies in the sector. Made in Italy is increasingly recognized as a symbol of quality and refinement, and events like this are essential to consolidate the position of Italy in global markets. Not only design, but also food, wine and wellness are strategic sectors for the Italian economy, contributing significantly to the national GDP. Events such as Italy on Madison not only increase the visibility of the participating brands, but also strengthen the cultural and commercial link between Italy and the United States, with a positive impact on the flow of exports and investment in the luxury sector.
