Discovering Dolomites

Well known Dolomites are a mountain group within the Italian Alpine chain. They stretch through three regions: Trentino Alto Adige, Friuli and Veneto and include some of the most popular places in Italy for those who love snow, hiking and the mountain, both in summer and winter. However, being very extensive, it is difficult to visit them to the full, it’s better to prepare an itinerary of the places not to be missed in the Dolomites according to the season period in which you intend to visit them and to the time you have available. They are usually divided into “zones” based on the province to which they belong; for example, the “Belluno Dolomites” are part of the territory of the province of Belluno. Each area has its most interesting places / attractions, some of which are more appreciated by families while others are suitable for those traveling alone. So let’s find out together which are the most beautiful places to discover in the Dolomites!

They are located in the Val di Genova, in the province of Trento. Another particularly attractive place is Sasso Pordoi with its terrace on the Dolomites. The place is located in the Trentino Dolomites and is an ideal destination for family groups and for winter sports lovers. The summit, which is a little less than 3000 meters high, can be reached by cable car. At the top you can take a rest and relax in a beautiful shelter, which hosts hundreds of visitors every day. We would also like to suggest Lake Carezza, a small but picturesque lake in the province of Bolzano easily reached on foot and perfect for a picnic in company.
