In Rome the exhibition celebrating the excellence of women of Made in Italy
In the heart of Rome, among the solemn marbles of Palazzo Piacentini – historic headquarters of the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy – an exhibition has opened that is not only an exhibition, but an act of recognition. A declaration of national pride.
“Made in Italy, an enterprise for women” is the title of the initiative launched by Mimit, in collaboration with the Marisa Bellisario Foundation, the Women’s Enterprise Committee and the National Federation of Knights of Labor.
A concrete and powerful tribute to more than one hundred Italian entrepreneurs who, defying conventions, cultural obstacles and prejudices, have been able to build companies, visions and future. Women who have opened paths in territories where, until a few decades ago, the feminine was not contemplated.
One million two hundred thousand women-led enterprises
«What we inaugurate today is a tribute to courage and determination – said the Minister Adolfo Urso during the opening ceremony -. In Italy there are more than one million two hundred thousand female enterprises out of a total of six million. It is the highest figure in Europe. But more can and must be done. Because the true strength of women is to know how to go beyond limits».
A reflection that is also a call to institutional responsibility. Because recognition is not enough: it is necessary to create the conditions for women’s talent to flourish as a structural resource of the country.
Between design, tourism and space: the exhibition that tells the invisible genius
The exhibition develops as a narrative path. Photographs, symbolic objects, videos and testimonies retrace the path of these entrepreneurs in every sector of Made in Italy: from fashion to cosmetics, from design to aerospace, from tourism to cinema. Family and personal stories intertwined with social responsibilities, innovation, strategic vision.
Lella Golfo, president of the Bellisario Foundation, recalled how many protagonists of the exhibition are also winners of the prestigious Marisa Bellisario Prize. «It is a choral story, of excellence and resistance. And I am grateful to Minister Urso for having supported this exhibition with conviction. It’s time that female merit is no longer invisible».
Not an option, but a vision
Talking about female entrepreneurship today is no longer a question of equal opportunities. It is a development strategy, an economic lever. Valentina Picca Bianchi, president of the Women’s Enterprise Committee of the Ministry, has strongly reiterated: «This exhibition is not a celebration. It is a vision that takes shape. It is an active economic culture. A concrete way to build the future of Italy».
Giannola Nonino, the authoritative voice of the Federation of the Knights of Labour, is of the same opinion: «The women we celebrate today have not simply done business. They have generated value, well-being and cohesion. And they remind us that an entrepreneur does not think as “female or male”, but as a thinking being. This is the spirit that must guide the country».
