From 24 to 26 March, Piazza della Repubblica in Rome will be transformed into a large stage dedicated to the agricultural sector. On the occasion of the anniversary of the Treaties of Rome, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forests (MASAF) organizes “Agriculture is”, an immersive event designed to tell the strategic role of agriculture in daily life and the economic fabric of the country.
After the success of Divinazione Expo in Syracuse in September 2024, this new initiative brings the debate to the capital, involving institutions, companies, students and citizens in a 360-degree experience. On 25 March, a meeting between the Minister for Agriculture, Francesco Lollobrigida, and the European Commissioner for Agriculture, Christophe Hansen, is scheduled to highlight the importance of a shared vision at EU level.
A journey between tradition and innovation
For three days, the Roman square will become an experiential village, where visitors can explore the many dimensions of agriculture: from sustainability to technological innovation, from food safety to the enhancement of Made in Italy. The Masaf announces the presence of thematic areas dedicated to renewable energy, environmental protection and quality of life, with a focus on the challenges and opportunities of the agricultural sector in the global context.
The initiative, open to the public, aims to bring out the centrality of agriculture not only as an economic engine, but also as a guardian of culture and traditions. An opportunity to rediscover the link between food, territory and innovation, highlighting the value of a sector that continues to evolve to meet future needs.
