The Alta Via dei Monti Liguri is a «border» route that separates the Mediterranean coast from the wild hinterland, between sea and sky, the Alps and the Apennines. Like a green highway it crosses the whole of Liguria, for a total of 440 km along sunny ridges, grassy prairies and shady woods.

1 season STAGE: Ventimiglia — La Colla (10,5 km)

The 3rd stage of the Alta Via dei Monti Liguri is a trek on the border between Italy and France, walking between la Val Nervia e il Parc National du Mercantour.

The first part of the route leads from Colla Sgora a Testa d’Alpe in 4 km, gaining altitude along the ridge, in an open and panoramic stretch. Here you can admire the Roja and Nervia valleys and, a few steps away, you reach the highest point of the stage (1511 meters).

4 season STAGE: Colle Scarassan — Agnaira (12 km)

The 4th stage of the Alta Via dei Monti Liguri in trekking winds on old military mule tracks, on the sides of imposing mountains, in an alpine and suggestive environment.

The trail starts from Colle Scarassan and after 1 km it reaches the Passo Muratone, crossroads of numerous trekking itineraries. We are on the border with France and we can still see, on the side of the Alps, the old bars and signs of the border post.

6 season STAGE: Valletta — Colle San Bernardo di Mendatica  (8,3 km)

The sixth stage of the Alta Via dei Monti Liguri, one of the most beautiful trekking routes in Italy, starts at the Sella della Valletta.
The first half of the route is always above 2000 meters of altitude, walking gently along the ridge while all around open magnificent landscapes. Climb over Monte Cimonasso and descend to Passo Garlenda, then reach the summit of Monte Frontè(2152 mt), which can be reached with a detour of 10 minutes for those who do not want to miss it.

7 season STAGE: Colle San Bernardo di Mendatica — Colle di Nava (10,6 km)
