Fontanelle was a farm when the father of Marina, the current owner, decided to make their own that house and the farm and to follow the hard road of agriculture, cultivating with love, for long thirty years, a land of tradition and sacrifice, producing wheat, vegetables, fruit and vegetables and specializing in the cultivation of the vine and the barbatella. Today the farm is owned by Marina who, making use of the precious help of her mother Maddalena and sister Silvia, in 2001 took over the reins, accepting with enthusiasm the legacy of his father and choosing to reshape and give color to his project.
Composed of 20 hectares of land and 1200 olive trees, the Agricola Fontanelle produces every year cereals and legumes, extra virgin olive oil, fruits, vegetables and tomato sauce. Registered in the CIA (Italian Farmers Confederation), in AGIA (Association of Young Agriculture Entrepreneurs) and the national association "Women in the field", the company follows the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture and is engaged in the recovery of vegetable varieties lost, such as the wheat Senatore Cappelli, an ancient corn variety that Agricola Fontanelle employs in flour production with which produces delicious biscuits, bagels, pasta and friselle of high quality.
