Gluten Free Expo
The show, now in its fifth edition, continues its path of specialization in high-quality food succeeding each year more and more on focusing needs and attracting the attention of companies of strong growth industry, positioned in both domestic food distribution channels and those outdoor: both companies specialized in the production of only gluten-free and big food companies which, alongside the traditional lines, have opened special lines dedicated to gluten-free. Despite being a show designed for professionals in the catering sector, Gluten Free Expo is also open to the public, allowing everyone to see what's new in the food sector and new products designed for those who must follow a gluten-free diet.
During the 4-days event, amongst including demonstration areas dedicated to the show cooking and workshops for both adults and children, will take place many interesting meetings dedicated to the final user as well as the caterer. For example, it will be discussed about which are the best gluten-free brands in Italy and abroad, or which are the possible choices for restaurant owners, thus they can offer a wide choice of products, without forcing the allergic or intolerant customer to stay there watching the diners eat what he may not. Home cooking will be discussed too, and how to choose and use the right foods at home. There won’t be missing insights on the differences between intolerance and allergy, about celiac disease and on the regulations governing gluten-free catering, still being in a phase of decisive definition.
Being the only international trade fair for the gluten-free market, many are the exhibitors who come from all over Europe, leading successful cases of their companies to the big event, therefore allowing a comparison between the perception of gluten-free in Italy and the one from other countries. As evidence of the growing success of the Romagna’s event there is important data of the last edition, showing an increase of 45% of foreign exhibitors from around the world, an extra 6% of Italian exhibitors, 12% of extra exhibition surface compared to 2014 and the satisfaction of the exhibitors at 83%.
