Le Mandolare


The name “Mandolare” is due to the various almond trees scattered among the crops.

The farm covers 22 hectares on south-east terminal slopes of the Berici Hills. We have vineyards and olive groves on the ancient "masiere" (terraces supported by dry stone walls), surrounded by deciduous forests. Vineyards and olive groves are located at 150-200 m asl in the continuous exposure to the sun, on calcareous soils carnica origin and rich in micro fossils. Helped by the airy and sunny location and the interesting morphology of the land we devote constant care and commitment at every stage of the agronomic cycle.

Since early 1996 the whole company is organic regime certified. Since that date we treat vineyards and olive groves with any products permitted by the certification that inspects and makes withdrawals both on the ground and on the final products. We grow 656 old olive trees and 200 recently planted. The varieties are: Rasara, Grignano, "Pertegaro", Leccino, Frantoio, Pendolino and Coratina. The processing technology is cold and by continuous cycle, the oil is decanted in stainless steel tanks.

We have at guests’ disposal one double room, a double bedroom and a four-bed room. All rooms are equipped with bathroom, television and air conditioning. The furniture has been studied in detail trying to make the environment comfortable but at the same time maintaining the rustic look that best suits the type of structure. The stay in the rooms includes breakfast.
