Umbria

Umbria is a small region located in the center of the Italian peninsula and, though its wine production isn’t of very high quantity, it is surely remarkable from a quality point of view. As in other regions, local traditions transmitted over time still remain alive here.
By examining some archaeological findings, it has been possible to verify that the Etruscan and Umbrian people dedicated themselves to viticulture in the pre-Roman age. This activity is extremely linked to the weather and geography of the land – its hills are ideal for grape cultivation.
